Questions And Answers

No, you should join with believers in all of your micro-communities, serving each other and, together, serving the micro-community.   A micro-community might be your work place, your extended family or even the people at your coffee shop.

No. Just as it is not disloyal to have a relationship with your natural family and also be part of the family of God, God wants us to share our lives and fellowship with others.

This is an area that needs wisdom. Leaders and governments have authority. However, because we are imperfect people, sometimes that authority is used to direct people to do things contrary to God’s plan. If this is the case for you, pray and seek God’s guidance. Keep in mind, when the religious leaders told early believers what to do that was outside of God’s plan, “Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather than human beings.” Acts 5: 17- 30

The early believers devoted themselves to fellowship. Devoted means they made it a priority to fellowship with the believers in their circles. Fellowshipping with believers we are connected to should be a normal part of our lives.

We need to understand the difference between diversity and heresy.

There is a great danger of drawing the line in the wrong place.

Heresy.
Though we can love anyone, we cannot extend Christian fellowship to those who are outside of Christ. It is easy to see if people are inside or outside by asking them if they affirm KingdomStandards.com. The word ‘heresy’ refers to supposed Christian teachings that disagree with sound, historic Christian doctrines. KingdomStandards.com covers the basic teachings for all Christians for all times and places.

There are groups of people, sometimes called ‘apologists’ who focus on helping people find their way out of heretical teachings.

Diversity.
What about teachings that I don’t agree with that are not covered as part of the basics in Kingdom Standards?

These types of teachings represent our diversity. In efforts to establish fellowship with others, it is important to focus on the areas of our unity, as illustrated with Kingdom Standards and not to spend a lot of time or energy disagreeing on areas of diversity of thought. Just as all of our natural children do not see things exactly the same, God’s children are no different. God doesn’t expect uniformity and we should not, either. We want to be harmonious and allow diversity to exist. We want to build up His body -each other- and to, together, serve others
